Czechia registered 33 407 passenger cars in October 2024: 21 070 new cars (63.1% of the total) and 12 337 used imports. That is up 12.9% on September 2024 and up 1.6% on October 2023. Year to date the market stands at 312 615 registrations, down 2.0% on the same period of last year. Private buyers accounted for 22.7% of the new cars; the rest were registered to companies, leasing firms and fleets.

SKODA led the brand ranking with 11 029 registrations and a 33.0% share, ahead of VOLKSWAGEN (4 130) and HYUNDAI (1 914). Together the top three brands took 51.1% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, DACIA grew fastest year on year (+31.6%) while BMW fell furthest (โˆ’23.8%). The best-selling model was the SKODA OCTAVIA with 1 574 registrations, followed by the SKODA KAROQ (1 307) and the SKODA KAMIQ (1 194).

Battery-electric cars took 7.0% of new registrations, compared with 3.8% in October 2023. Plug-in hybrids took 2.5%, other hybrids 18.5%, diesel 20.7% and petrol 49.4%. The leading electric brand was SKODA with 464 battery-electric registrations, ahead of TESLA (347). The best-selling battery-electric model was the SKODA ENYAQ with 463 registrations, ahead of the TESLA MODEL Y (224). New cars averaged 129.0 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 10.6 years old when they were registered.

October 2024 was the 2nd-highest of the 14 months on this page, which average 30 779 registrations a month; the peak was June 2024 with 33 943 and the low December 2023 with 24 697.
