Lithuania registered 18 452 passenger cars in June 2026: 4 455 new cars (24.1% of the total) and 13 925 used imports. That is up 10.3% on May 2026 and up 54.2% on June 2025. Private buyers accounted for 63.9% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets.

VOLKSWAGEN led the brand ranking with 2 285 registrations and a 12.4% share, ahead of BMW (2 092) and TOYOTA (1 822). Together the top three brands took 33.6% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, PEUGEOT grew fastest year on year (+128.1%). The best-selling model was the BMW 3 SERIES with 489 registrations, followed by the BMW 5 SERIES (472) and the TOYOTA RAV4 (426). The 3 SERIES arrived mainly as a used import: 483 used against 3 new.

Battery-electric cars took 5.4% of all registrations, compared with 5.0% in June 2025. Plug-in hybrids took 6.1%, other hybrids 18.6%, diesel 44.5% and petrol 21.7%. The leading electric brand was TESLA with 264 battery-electric registrations, ahead of VOLKSWAGEN (100). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TESLA MODEL Y with 158 registrations, ahead of the TESLA MODEL 3 (72). New cars averaged 119.8 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 10.4 years old when they were registered.
