Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-09-06.

The short version: this site shows aggregate statistics from public vehicle registers and collects no personal data of its own. Google serves the ads and counts the visits, and for visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it does so only within the choice you make in the consent dialog.

Who runs this site

A private project. For anything in this policy โ€” questions, requests, complaints โ€” write dovydz@gmail.com.

Hosting

The site is static and served by Firebase Hosting (Google LLC). Like every web server, Google processes the technical data of each request (IP address, user agent, requested page) to deliver the site and keep it secure. We run no server of our own and store no request logs ourselves.

Advertising

The site is financed by ads served through Google AdSense (Google Ireland Ltd for visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland). Google and its ad technology partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to deliver ads, to measure them and, only with your consent, to personalise them based on your visits to this and other sites.

If you visit from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you are shown Google's consent dialog before any personalised ad appears. The dialog lists the ad technology partners and lets you consent or manage each purpose. Without consent you still see ads, but non-personalised ones, chosen from the page you are on rather than from anything about you.

How Google uses data from sites that show its ads is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites; its privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. The Analytics script is present on every page, but for visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it runs in consent mode: until you press Consent in the dialog it sets no cookie and sends no identifier, only cookieless signals that Google may use to estimate totals. After consent it sets the _ga cookies (up to two years) to tell returning visitors apart. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google processes this data on our behalf; details are at Safeguarding your data.

Changing your choice

"Privacy settings" in the footer of every page reopens Google's consent dialog, where you can withdraw or change your consent at any time. Cookies already set can be removed through your browser's settings.

The data

The statistics come from public sources: the open-data vehicle register of AB Regitra (Lithuania), the statistics of the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (Germany), the open data of Transpordiamet (Estonia), the monthly statistics of CSDD (Latvia), the statistics of Traficom (Finland), the vehicle licensing statistics of the Department for Transport (United Kingdom), the vehicle register of the RDW and the statistics of CBS (Netherlands), the registration microdata of the Direcciรณn General de Trรกfico (Spain), and the vehicle register of CEPiK (Poland); the About page lists them in detail. They describe vehicles, not people: no number plates, no vehicle identification numbers, no owner details. Where a combination of make, model and municipality could point to a single vehicle, the register itself anonymises it, and this site shows it only as an anonymised total.

What we don't do

No accounts, no forms, no newsletters, no fingerprinting, no data sold or shared beyond the Google services named above. Links to the registers, statistics offices and other external sites are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data concerning you, withdraw consent at any time via "Privacy settings", and complain to a data-protection supervisory authority. Since we hold no personal data about visitors ourselves, most requests will be answerable immediately; for data held by Google, its privacy policy explains how to exercise your rights.
