Czechia registered 30 621 passenger cars in February 2026: 18 591 new cars (60.7% of the total) and 12 030 used imports. That is up 6.8% on January 2026 and up 6.2% on February 2025. Year to date the market stands at 59 281 registrations, up 0.4% on the same period of last year. Private buyers accounted for 23.0% of the new cars; the rest were registered to companies, leasing firms and fleets.

SKODA led the brand ranking with 10 277 registrations and a 33.6% share, ahead of VOLKSWAGEN (3 865) and FORD (1 275). Together the top three brands took 50.3% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, SKODA grew fastest year on year (+17.7%) while HYUNDAI fell furthest (โˆ’33.7%). The best-selling model was the SKODA OCTAVIA with 1 499 registrations, followed by the SKODA KODIAQ (1 233) and the SKODA SCALA (1 045).

Battery-electric cars took 5.2% of new registrations, compared with 4.1% in February 2025. Plug-in hybrids took 5.0%, other hybrids 22.2%, diesel 19.6% and petrol 46.0%. The leading electric brand was SKODA with 377 battery-electric registrations, ahead of TESLA (85). The best-selling battery-electric model was the SKODA ENYAQ with 200 registrations, ahead of the SKODA ELROQ (177). New cars averaged 131.0 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 10.4 years old when they were registered.

February 2026 was the 18th-highest of the 30 months on this page, which average 31 553 registrations a month; the peak was October 2025 with 36 864 and the low December 2023 with 24 697.
