Denmark registered 16 948 new passenger cars in March 2024. That is up 50.3% on February 2024. Year to date the market stands at 37 084 registrations. Private buyers accounted for 58.0% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets. Leasing accounted for 59.6% of the month's registrations, private leasing alone for 24.3%.

Battery-electric cars took 41.7% of new registrations. Plug-in hybrids took 5.0%, diesel 8.2% and petrol 45.1%.
