Denmark registered 15 363 new passenger cars in April 2024. That is down 9.4% on March 2024. Year to date the market stands at 52 447 registrations. Private buyers accounted for 65.0% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets. Leasing accounted for 59.7% of the month's registrations, private leasing alone for 30.3%.

Battery-electric cars took 42.8% of new registrations. Plug-in hybrids took 5.0%, diesel 6.7% and petrol 45.5%.
