Denmark registered 14 647 new passenger cars in May 2024. That is down 4.7% on April 2024. Year to date the market stands at 67 094 registrations. Private buyers accounted for 59.0% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets. Leasing accounted for 56.3% of the month's registrations, private leasing alone for 23.4%.

Battery-electric cars took 49.3% of new registrations. Plug-in hybrids took 4.3%, diesel 8.0% and petrol 38.3%.
