Denmark registered 12 865 new passenger cars in August 2024. That is up 11.1% on July 2024. Year to date the market stands at 111 114 registrations. Private buyers accounted for 61.2% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets. Leasing accounted for 58.8% of the month's registrations, private leasing alone for 26.8%.
No brand or model table exists for August 2024: the importers' association publishes its make and model tables only for its two most recent months and keeps no archive, and auto-stats.eu captures them month by month from the time it added the market. Battery-electric cars took 54.7% of new registrations. Plug-in hybrids took 3.4%, diesel 6.4% and petrol 35.6%.
August 2024 was the 9th-highest of the 12 months on this page, which average 14 574 registrations a month; the peak was June 2024 with 19 578 and the low January 2024 with 8 861.
