Denmark registered 14 385 new passenger cars in October 2024. That is down 7.6% on September 2024 and up 8.3% on October 2023. Year to date the market stands at 141 072 registrations, up 400.0% on the same period of last year. Private buyers accounted for 60.9% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets. Leasing accounted for 57.5% of the month's registrations, private leasing alone for 24.5%.

Battery-electric cars took 61.3% of new registrations, compared with 36.3% in October 2023. Plug-in hybrids took 3.9%, diesel 5.4% and petrol 29.4%.

October 2024 was the 9th-highest of the 14 months on this page, which average 14 632 registrations a month; the peak was June 2024 with 19 578 and the low January 2024 with 8 861.
