Denmark registered 15 239 new passenger cars in April 2025. That is up 1.2% on March 2025 and down 0.8% on April 2024. Year to date the market stands at 52 832 registrations, up 0.7% on the same period of last year. Private buyers accounted for 59.2% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets. Leasing accounted for 58.9% of the month's registrations, private leasing alone for 23.2%.
No brand or model table exists for April 2025: the importers' association publishes its make and model tables only for its two most recent months and keeps no archive, and auto-stats.eu captures them month by month from the time it added the market. Battery-electric cars took 62.7% of new registrations, compared with 42.8% in April 2024. Plug-in hybrids took 3.4%, diesel 5.8% and petrol 28.1%.
April 2025 was the 8th-highest of the 20 months on this page, which average 14 502 registrations a month; the peak was June 2024 with 19 578 and the low January 2024 with 8 861.
