Denmark registered 19 122 new passenger cars in June 2025. That is up 5.9% on May 2025 and down 2.3% on June 2024. Year to date the market stands at 90 015 registrations, up 3.9% on the same period of last year. Private buyers accounted for 56.9% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets. Leasing accounted for 55.9% of the month's registrations, private leasing alone for 19.8%.
No brand or model table exists for June 2025: the importers' association publishes its make and model tables only for its two most recent months and keeps no archive, and auto-stats.eu captures them month by month from the time it added the market. Battery-electric cars took 63.3% of new registrations, compared with 50.7% in June 2024. Plug-in hybrids took 3.4%, diesel 4.6% and petrol 28.6%.
June 2025 was the 3rd-highest of the 22 months on this page, which average 14 874 registrations a month; the peak was June 2024 with 19 578 and the low January 2024 with 8 861.
