Denmark registered 16 172 new passenger cars in October 2025. That is down 9.0% on September 2025 and up 12.4% on October 2024. Year to date the market stands at 150 932 registrations, up 7.0% on the same period of last year. Private buyers accounted for 61.4% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets. Leasing accounted for 57.8% of the month's registrations, private leasing alone for 24.0%.
No brand or model table exists for October 2025: the importers' association publishes its make and model tables only for its two most recent months and keeps no archive, and auto-stats.eu captures them month by month from the time it added the market. Battery-electric cars took 70.4% of new registrations, compared with 61.3% in October 2024. Plug-in hybrids took 1.9%, diesel 6.1% and petrol 21.6%.
October 2025 was the 9th-highest of the 26 months on this page, which average 14 929 registrations a month; the peak was June 2024 with 19 578 and the low January 2024 with 8 861.
