Denmark registered 21 583 new passenger cars in June 2026. That is up 12.6% on May 2026 and up 12.9% on June 2025. Year to date the market stands at 101 591 registrations, up 12.9% on the same period of last year. Private buyers accounted for 59.7% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets. Leasing accounted for 44.5% of the month's registrations, private leasing alone for 16.0%.
No brand or model table exists for June 2026: the importers' association publishes its make and model tables only for its two most recent months and keeps no archive, and auto-stats.eu captures them month by month from the time it added the market. Battery-electric cars took 78.7% of new registrations, compared with 63.3% in June 2025. Plug-in hybrids took 0.4%, diesel 4.9% and petrol 16.0%.
June 2026 was the strongest of the 34 months on this page, which average 15 418 registrations a month; the weakest was January 2024 with 8 861.
