Lithuania registered 11 967 passenger cars in June 2025: 2 657 new cars (22.2% of the total) and 9 295 used imports. That is down 8.4% on May 2025 and up 6.8% on June 2024. Private buyers accounted for 80.0% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets.

VOLKSWAGEN led the brand ranking with 1 512 registrations and a 12.6% share, ahead of BMW (1 455) and TOYOTA (1 200). Together the top three brands took 34.8% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, MERCEDES-BENZ grew fastest year on year (+21.9%) while PEUGEOT fell furthest (โˆ’18.6%). The best-selling model was the BMW 3 SERIES with 386 registrations, followed by the BMW 5 SERIES (363) and the VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN (286). The 3 SERIES arrived mainly as a used import: 384 used against 2 new.

Battery-electric cars took 5.0% of all registrations, compared with 2.8% in June 2024. Plug-in hybrids took 5.4%, other hybrids 17.4%, diesel 48.7% and petrol 21.5%. The leading electric brand was TESLA with 148 battery-electric registrations, ahead of VOLKSWAGEN (73). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TESLA MODEL Y with 97 registrations, ahead of the VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 (32). New cars averaged 121.1 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 10.6 years old when they were registered.

June 2025 was the 6th-highest of the 24 months on this page, which average 10 889 registrations a month; the peak was April 2025 with 13 308 and the low January 2024 with 8 660.
