Lithuania registered 13 891 passenger cars in July 2025: 2 882 new cars (20.7% of the total) and 10 993 used imports. That is up 16.1% on June 2025 and up 13.9% on July 2024. Private buyers accounted for 81.7% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets.

VOLKSWAGEN led the brand ranking with 1 706 registrations and a 12.3% share, ahead of BMW (1 679) and TOYOTA (1 406). Together the top three brands took 34.5% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, TOYOTA grew fastest year on year (+31.3%) while PEUGEOT fell furthest (โˆ’0.7%). The best-selling model was the BMW 3 SERIES with 428 registrations, followed by the BMW 5 SERIES (414) and the AUDI A6 (307). The 3 SERIES arrived mainly as a used import: 425 used against 3 new.

Battery-electric cars took 4.8% of all registrations, compared with 3.6% in July 2024. Plug-in hybrids took 6.3%, other hybrids 17.1%, diesel 48.7% and petrol 21.4%. The leading electric brand was TESLA with 100 battery-electric registrations, ahead of VOLKSWAGEN (90). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TESLA MODEL Y with 54 registrations, ahead of the VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 (54). New cars averaged 122.0 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 10.7 years old when they were registered.

July 2025 was the strongest of the 25 months on this page, which average 11 009 registrations a month; the weakest was January 2024 with 8 660.
