Spain registered 102 623 passenger cars in February 2025: 90 526 new cars (88.2% of the total) and 12 097 used imports. That is up 23.4% on January 2025 and up 14.4% on February 2024. Year to date the market stands at 185 798 registrations, up 12.1% on the same period of last year.

TOYOTA led the brand ranking with 8 728 registrations and a 8.5% share, ahead of RENAULT (8 072) and VOLKSWAGEN (7 842). Together the top three brands took 24.0% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, MG grew fastest year on year (+123.4%) while PEUGEOT fell furthest (โˆ’16.0%). The best-selling model was the MG ZS with 2 626 registrations, followed by the DACIA SANDERO (2 490) and the RENAULT CLIO (2 488).

Battery-electric cars took 6.5% of all registrations, compared with 4.6% in February 2024. Among new cars alone the electric share was 6.9%. Plug-in hybrids took 6.9%, other hybrids 38.8%, diesel 12.0% and petrol 31.4%. The leading electric brand was TESLA with 1 016 battery-electric registrations, ahead of BYD (577). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TESLA MODEL 3 with 606 registrations, ahead of the FIAT 500 (445). New cars averaged 110.3 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 9.4 years old when they were registered.

February 2025 was the 5th-highest of the 19 months on this page, which average 90 349 registrations a month; the peak was December 2024 with 114 242 and the low August 2024 with 61 172.
