Spain registered 143 243 passenger cars in June 2026: 129 079 new cars (90.1% of the total) and 14 164 used imports. That is up 13.5% on May 2026 and up 8.6% on June 2025. Year to date the market stands at 731 976 registrations, up 6.9% on the same period of last year.

VOLKSWAGEN led the brand ranking with 12 266 registrations and a 8.6% share, ahead of TOYOTA (10 167) and SEAT (8 340). Together the top three brands took 21.5% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, AUDI grew fastest year on year (+25.9%) while RENAULT fell furthest (โˆ’29.7%). The best-selling model was the DACIA SANDERO with 4 330 registrations, followed by the SEAT IBIZA (3 494) and the PEUGEOT 2008 (2 569).

Battery-electric cars took 10.4% of all registrations, compared with 9.0% in June 2025. Among new cars alone the electric share was 11.3%. Plug-in hybrids took 11.2%, other hybrids 41.0%, diesel 8.7% and petrol 25.3%. The leading electric brand was TESLA with 2 890 battery-electric registrations, ahead of BYD (1 976). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TESLA MODEL 3 with 2 050 registrations, ahead of the TESLA MODEL Y (815). New cars averaged 100.2 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 10.6 years old when they were registered.

June 2026 was the 2nd-highest of the 35 months on this page, which average 101 914 registrations a month; the peak was March 2026 with 145 544 and the low August 2024 with 61 172.
