Sweden registered 21 016 new passenger cars in November 2025. That is down 12.7% on October 2025 and down 15.4% on November 2024. Year to date the market stands at 249 121 registrations, up 2.4% on the same period of last year. Private buyers accounted for 42.0% of registrations, the rest going to companies, leasing and fleets.

VOLVO led the brand ranking with 3 147 registrations and a 15.0% share, ahead of VOLKSWAGEN (3 111) and KIA (2 059). Together the top three brands took 39.6% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, CUPRA grew fastest year on year (+16.3%) while VOLVO fell furthest (−35.0%). The best-selling model was the VOLVO EX/XC40 with 966 registrations, followed by the VOLVO XC60 (926) and the VOLKSWAGEN ID.7/ID.7 TOURER (701).

Battery-electric cars took 40.4% of new registrations, compared with 36.3% in November 2024. Plug-in hybrids took 25.0%, other hybrids 12.5%, diesel 4.8% and petrol 17.0%. The leading electric brand was VOLVO with 1 524 battery-electric registrations, ahead of VOLKSWAGEN (1 397). The best-selling battery-electric model was the VOLVO EX/XC40 with 803 registrations, ahead of the VOLKSWAGEN ID.7/ID.7 TOURER (701).

November 2025 was the 19th-highest of the 27 months on this page, which average 23 211 registrations a month; the peak was December 2023 with 29 436 and the low July 2024 with 16 337.
