Passenger-car registrations in Poland

Poland registered 126 653 passenger cars in April 2025: 47 336 new cars (37.4% of the total) and 79 317 used imports. That is down 3.4% on March 2025. Year to date the market stands at 486 464 registrations.

VOLKSWAGEN led the brand ranking with 10 857 registrations and a 8.6% share, ahead of TOYOTA (10 364) and AUDI (8 630). Together the top three brands took 23.6% of the market. The best-selling model was the VOLKSWAGEN GOLF with 2 814 registrations, followed by the SKODA OCTAVIA (2 387) and the KIA SPORTAGE (2 201). The GOLF arrived mainly as a used import: 2 389 used against 425 new.

Battery-electric cars took 2.5% of all registrations. Among new cars alone the electric share was 5.5%. Hybrids took 18.1%, diesel 28.2% and petrol 47.0%. The leading electric brand was KIA with 373 battery-electric registrations, ahead of TESLA (335). The best-selling battery-electric model was the KIA EV6 with 180 registrations, ahead of the CITROEN C3 (178). Used imports were on average 11.4 years old when they were registered.

April 2025 was the 2nd-highest of the 4 months on this page, which average 121 616 registrations a month; the peak was March 2025 with 131 094 and the low January 2025 with 114 167.

Counts are first registrations of passenger cars in Poland in the month, read from the CEPiK API filtered on the date of first Polish registration, deregistered vehicles included; every passenger car first registered in the month is counted once. New and used imports are told apart by the registration dates. A month is re-read every day until fourteen days after it ends and is then final. Percentages are shown only when the comparison month has at least 30 registrations.
