Estonia registered 5 202 passenger cars in October 2024: 2 695 new cars (51.8% of the total) and 2 507 used imports. That is up 22.2% on September 2024 and up 34.7% on October 2023. Year to date the market stands at 37 398 registrations, down 6.8% on the same period of last year. Only 11.9% of the new cars went to private holders; the rest were registered to companies, including leasing firms.

SKODA led the brand ranking with 782 registrations and a 15.0% share, ahead of BMW (496) and TOYOTA (445). Together the top three brands took 33.1% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, SKODA grew fastest year on year (+156.4%) while MERCEDES-BENZ fell furthest (โˆ’3.6%). The best-selling model was the SKODA OCTAVIA with 296 registrations, followed by the SKODA KODIAQ (228) and the BMW 5 SERIES (139).

Battery-electric cars took 5.3% of all registrations, compared with 6.6% in October 2023. Plug-in hybrids took 6.5%, other hybrids 28.8%, diesel 30.9% and petrol 20.5%. The leading electric brand was TESLA with 63 battery-electric registrations, ahead of AUDI (25). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TESLA MODEL 3 with 33 registrations, ahead of the TESLA MODEL Y (18). New cars averaged 127.8 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 8.8 years old when they were registered.

October 2024 was the strongest of the 14 months on this page, which average 3 738 registrations a month; the weakest was February 2024 with 2 928.
