Estonia registered 2 268 passenger cars in February 2026: 1 143 new cars (50.4% of the total) and 1 125 used imports. That is down 11.6% on January 2026 and up 91.9% on February 2025. Year to date the market stands at 4 834 registrations, up 117.8% on the same period of last year. Only 8.0% of the new cars went to private holders; the rest were registered to companies, including leasing firms.

BMW led the brand ranking with 265 registrations and a 11.7% share, ahead of SKODA (235) and TOYOTA (230). Together the top three brands took 32.2% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, PEUGEOT grew fastest year on year (+238.7%). The best-selling model was the TOYOTA COROLLA with 85 registrations, followed by the BMW 3 SERIES (82) and the SKODA OCTAVIA (78).

Battery-electric cars took 7.4% of all registrations, compared with 15.9% in February 2025. Plug-in hybrids took 8.8%, other hybrids 27.3%, diesel 28.4% and petrol 19.7%. The leading electric brand was TESLA with 28 battery-electric registrations, ahead of TOYOTA (15). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TOYOTA BZ4X with 15 registrations, ahead of the TESLA MODEL 3 (12). New cars averaged 125.0 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 10.1 years old when they were registered.

February 2026 was the 24th-highest of the 30 months on this page, which average 3 163 registrations a month; the peak was December 2024 with 7 050 and the low January 2025 with 1 037.
