Estonia registered 3 556 passenger cars in April 2026: 1 923 new cars (54.1% of the total) and 1 633 used imports. That is up 11.6% on March 2026 and up 82.0% on April 2025. Year to date the market stands at 11 575 registrations, up 95.1% on the same period of last year. Only 6.2% of the new cars went to private holders; the rest were registered to companies, including leasing firms.

TOYOTA led the brand ranking with 649 registrations and a 18.3% share, ahead of BMW (369) and SKODA (348). Together the top three brands took 38.4% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, RENAULT grew fastest year on year (+319.1%) while KIA fell furthest (โˆ’1.1%). The best-selling model was the TOYOTA YARIS CROSS with 205 registrations, followed by the SKODA OCTAVIA (157) and the TOYOTA C-HR (134).

Battery-electric cars took 10.1% of all registrations, compared with 9.6% in April 2025. Plug-in hybrids took 8.4%, other hybrids 35.3%, diesel 26.2% and petrol 14.2%. The leading electric brand was TESLA with 68 battery-electric registrations, ahead of SKODA (26). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TESLA MODEL 3 with 30 registrations, ahead of the TESLA MODEL Y (24). New cars averaged 113.4 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 10.2 years old when they were registered.

April 2026 was the 12th-highest of the 32 months on this page, which average 3 176 registrations a month; the peak was December 2024 with 7 050 and the low January 2025 with 1 037.
