Estonia registered 3 624 passenger cars in July 2026: 1 627 new cars (44.9% of the total) and 1 997 used imports. That is up 2.9% on June 2026 and up 54.7% on July 2025. Year to date the market stands at 22 247 registrations, up 69.0% on the same period of last year. Only 8.5% of the new cars went to private holders; the rest were registered to companies, including leasing firms.

BMW led the brand ranking with 480 registrations and a 13.3% share, ahead of SKODA (355) and VOLKSWAGEN (336). Together the top three brands took 32.3% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, PEUGEOT grew fastest year on year (+107.8%) while KIA fell furthest (โˆ’3.4%). The best-selling model was the BMW 3 SERIES with 137 registrations, followed by the SKODA OCTAVIA (135) and the BMW 5 SERIES (119). The 3 SERIES arrived mainly as a used import: 136 used against 1 new.

Battery-electric cars took 10.9% of all registrations, compared with 10.0% in July 2025. Plug-in hybrids took 8.6%, other hybrids 27.5%, diesel 30.7% and petrol 17.9%. The leading electric brand was TESLA with 72 battery-electric registrations, ahead of BMW (32). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TESLA MODEL Y with 34 registrations, ahead of the TOYOTA BZ4X (28). New cars averaged 114.4 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 10.5 years old when they were registered.

July 2026 was the 11th-highest of the 35 months on this page, which average 3 209 registrations a month; the peak was December 2024 with 7 050 and the low January 2025 with 1 037.
