Finland registered 10 685 passenger cars in June 2025: 7 452 new cars (69.7% of the total) and 3 233 used imports. That is up 2.3% on May 2025 and up 6.4% on June 2024. Year to date the market stands at 58 080 registrations, down 1.4% on the same period of last year.

VOLKSWAGEN led the brand ranking with 1 360 registrations and a 12.7% share, ahead of TOYOTA (1 136) and KIA (1 012). Together the top three brands took 32.8% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, POLESTAR grew fastest year on year (+159.2%) while TESLA fell furthest (โˆ’33.9%). The best-selling model was the KIA CEED with 390 registrations, followed by the TOYOTA YARIS CROSS (322) and the VOLKSWAGEN T-CROSS (269).

Battery-electric cars took 39.5% of all registrations, compared with 27.5% in June 2024. Among new cars alone the electric share was 33.4%. Plug-in hybrids took 19.6%, diesel 6.5% and petrol 34.2%. The leading electric brand was VOLKSWAGEN with 534 battery-electric registrations, ahead of POLESTAR (508). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TESLA MODEL Y with 179 registrations, ahead of the SKODA ELROQ (160). New cars averaged 62.6 g/km of COโ‚‚ (WLTP). Used imports were on average 6.7 years old when they were registered.

June 2025 was the 4th-highest of the 22 months on this page, which average 9 801 registrations a month; the peak was May 2024 with 11 532 and the low February 2025 with 8 136.
