Ireland registered 8 314 passenger cars in November 2025: 1 901 new cars (22.9% of the total) and 6 413 used imports. That is down 24.4% on October 2025 and up 16.3% on November 2024. Year to date the market stands at 186 055 registrations, up 7.1% on the same period of last year.

VOLKSWAGEN led the brand ranking with 1 571 registrations and a 18.9% share, ahead of AUDI (912) and BMW (900). Together the top three brands took 40.7% of the market. Among the ten largest brands, TOYOTA grew fastest year on year (+31.6%) while NISSAN fell furthest (โˆ’18.2%). The best-selling model was the TESLA MODEL Y with 75 registrations, followed by the VOLKSWAGEN T-ROC (52) and the SKODA OCTAVIA (46).

Battery-electric cars took 11.4% of all registrations, compared with 10.0% in November 2024. Among new cars alone the electric share was 27.4%. Plug-in hybrids took 15.4%, other hybrids 15.1%, diesel 22.1% and petrol 36.0%. The leading electric brand was TESLA with 119 battery-electric registrations, ahead of KIA (54). The best-selling battery-electric model was the TESLA MODEL Y with 75 registrations, ahead of the TESLA MODEL 3 (44).

November 2025 was the 23rd-highest of the 27 months on this page, which average 14 682 registrations a month; the peak was January 2025 with 27 311 and the low December 2024 with 4 750.
