Brands

The 129 brands with a page of their own registered 2 010 496 passenger cars in the Netherlands in the 36 months to August 2026. The five largest, VOLKSWAGEN, TOYOTA, KIA, BMW and VOLVO, account for 37.0% of that volume and the top ten for 61.1%. VOLKSWAGEN alone registered 220 942, 1.5 times the volume of the runner-up TOYOTA.

Brands are ranked by 36-month volume; the ranking therefore smooths out the month-to-month swings that a single month's table shows. Each name opens a page with the brand's monthly registrations, market share and rank over the period and its model table for August 2026. Brands with very few registrations have no page of their own and appear only in the monthly tables.
